Tottenham Hotspur are chasing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

The highly-rated Slovakian international has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, but in recent days has received a ‘very tempting’ offer from Spurs.

Inter Milan website FCInterNews – as picked up by Sport Witness – claim that Tottenham have offered Skriniar a 5-year deal in North London, which will see him collect around £90,000 a week in wages.

The 25-year-old is said to be happy in Serie A, and keen to remain in Milan.

However, discussions continue over a fee for the player, with Spurs initially earmarking around €35m for the defender’s signature, but the Nerazzurri holding out for an offer closer to €50m.

It’s likely Tottenham will return with an official €45m-plus-bonuses bid in the coming days, which should be enough to convince Inter to sell Skriniar.

With Spurs defender Juan Foyth on the radar of Fulham, and Tottenham prepared to sell him for €10m, it’s claimed the revenue from Foyth’s sale will go towards the Skriniar deal.
