Reports suggest heart condition could be more complicated
Sergio Aguero could be forced into retiring from football completely following reports his heart condition could be more complicated than it initially appeared.
City’s greatest ever goalscorer experienced chest pain while playing for Barcelona last month and it was expected he would be out for three months while his condition was treated. Tests showed that he has an abnormal heart rhythm which if untreated, can become even more serious.
The Argentinian joined the Catalan giants from City on a free transfer in the summer and though a calf injury hampered his start, he cemented himself in the hearts of the Nou Camp faithful when he scored off the bench in the El Clasico against Real Madrid.
Aguero himself has tweeted in response to the rumours that this could bring a premature end to his career. In the message, he remains upbeat about the future and says that he is focusing on his treatment for the next 90 days.
