Former Burnley keeper Joe Hart has been linked with a free transfer switch to Tottenham, according to the BBC.

The ex-England international was released by Burnley last month, after failing to make a single Premier League appearance last season.

Whilst the move may look a little left field by Jose Mourinho, the former United boss has confirmed he is on the lookout for an experienced back up option to Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga next season.

Hart is likely to take a significant pay cut to secure the deal, with Spurs only budgeting for a back up player’s salary.
