Liverpool have returned to Premier League action in comfortable style with a 5–0 win away at Watford.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side dominated from the start in Claudio Ranieri’s big comeback to English football with Watford after scoring five goals and securing three easy points.
As expected, it was the Reds who swarmed on the Hornets from the word go, with Mo Salah’s brilliant switch of play absolutely buried by Sadio Mane.
That strike looked to open the floodgates before the break as Watford stopper Ben Foster superbly kept out Salah.
But despite Foster’s efforts, it was only to be a matter of time before the whistle, as Roberto Firmino popped up to prod home James Milner’s measured cut back.
And despite Watford showing some signs of life after the restart, it was Klopp’s Liverpool who simply picked up the tempo once again.
The impressive Firmino grabbed his second of the game, after Foster parried away Andy Robertson’s cross before man of the moment Salah finally snatched his moment.
The Egyptian King is in incredible form this season and he simply danced away from three Watford tackles before slamming one past Foster.
And in truth, Liverpool could have edged on towards double figures in the closing stages, before Firmino slid in to grab his first Premier League hat trick since 2018.
Full Time from Vicarage Road it’s Watford 0-5 Liverpool
