The FA has challenged FIFA's verdict in relation to Chelsea's transfer ban.

The Blues’ appeal is set to be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport next month.

Chelsea were punished for breaches of rules relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.

As part of Chelsea’s punishment, the FA were also fined.

The case is now listed on the schedule to be heard on June 26th.

In February 2019, Chelsea were handed a transfer ban for two windows and fined, although both punishments were later reduced on appeal, with the club being allowed to sign players again starting from this January.

The FA was initially fined £391,000 at the time, which was reduced on appeal.

The FA say they will continue to work with FIFA and Chelsea in a constructive manner to address the issues which were raised by this case.
