Reports claim that Everton are closing in on a deal for Brazilian midfielder Allan.

Carlo Ancelotti is looking to raid former club Napoli for the 29-year-old, according to the Daily Express.

Allan appears to have fallen out of favour with current Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso, who replaced Ancelotti at the Stadio San Paolo in December.

Gattuso’s side beat Juventus on penalties on Wednesday to secure the Coppa Italia – Allan didn’t feature in the 23-man squad for the final.

With the player approaching 30 and not fancied by his manager, Everton boss Ancelotti may be hopeful he can pick up his man on the cheap as the transfer window approaches.

Reports suggest that talks have opened between Everton and the Seleção player’s representatives over a potential £35m deal.
