Arsenal have been handed an injury boost, with both Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac available again.

That leaves Gunners boss Mikel Arteta with an embarrassment of riches in the left back position, with Tierney, Kolasinac and Bukayo Saka all operating at full fitness.

However, images from recent training sessions suggest Saka has been deployed in a more advanced role – perhaps a pointer as to Arteta’s thinking ahead of the Premier League restart.

Top flight action returns on June 17 after a 3 month suspension of play due to coronavirus.

Arsenal’s game at Manchester City on that day will be the ‘curtain raiser’ for the season’s resumption, and Arteta will have some difficult squad selections to make ahead of the trip to the Etihad.
