The Belgian picked up the injury in the win over Aston Villa
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne is set to be out for between four and six weeks with an injury picked up in the win over Aston Villa.
The Belgian playmaker went off after 59 minutes of the 2-0 win, and Guardiola confirmed that it’s a torn hamstring, which will mean an extended spell on the sidelines.
The news means De Bruyne is a major doubt for the Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield on February 7th, which is just two and a half weeks away.
Guardiola is likely to need to shuffle his pack in the coming weeks, but with games against Cheltenham, West Brom and Sheffield United on the horizon, the fixture list could have been harsher on City.
