From the heights of winning against Arsenal on their Premier League debut, Brentford have felt the more mundane side of the top-flight with a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.

Both sides found themselves short of quality in front of goal as Frank’s positivity rolls on but Patrick Vieira finds himself with some early questions to answer.

Conor Gallagher carried much of Palace’s threat early on as the Chelsea loanee lashed Wilf Zaha’s pass off the upright.

The Bees did look to force themselves more into it after the break as Ivan Toney glanced wide from Bryan Mbuemo’s corner.

However, with the game petering out in the closing minutes, Palace did almost carve out a winner late on.

But James McArthur rasping drive was tipped over by David Raja.
