Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s experienced stars have come to his rescue this weekend as Manchester United swept to an impressive 3-0 win away at Tottenham.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under growing pressure at Old Trafford but a virtuoso performance from front pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani secured a massive win for Ole.

Both sides struggled for fluency before the break with Spurs star Cristian Romero seeing his effort ruled for offside.

However despite the slow start, as has been the case so many times already this season, the one moment of quality belonged firmly to Ronaldo.

Bruno Fernandes’ floated ball was inch perfect for him at the back post and he peeled away from Ben Davies to rocket one past Hugo Lloris.

Ronaldo’s breakthrough handed United the initiative after the break as the visitors looked to go up through the gears.

Fernandes and Ronaldo found themselves in tandem once again, as they pounced on some poor Spurs defending, and Cavani raced on to clip home a second.

And with Nuno Santo’s side on the ropes late on, two of Solskjaer’s substitutes combined to brilliant effect, as Nemanja Matic sent Marcus Rashford away to make it three goals and three points for United.

Full Time from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium it’s Tottenham 0-3 Manchester United
