Manchester United fans will be again asking themselves where would their season be without Cristiano Ronaldo as the Portuguese star sealed them yet another late late win?
Ronaldo’s late penalty made it 13 for the season for the 36-year-old as United once again left it late to edge out a 1-0 win away at Norwich.
However, despite the late Ronaldo drama, United created enough chances to wrap this up earlier as Alex Telles’ free kick was tipped onto the bar and Tim Krul smartly kept out Ronaldo and Harry Maguire before the break.
The Canaries did wake themselves up a bit in the second 45 as David De Gea repelled Teemu Pukki but the key moment belonged to Ronaldo.
Max Aarons’ dragged him down in the box and the veteran hitman hammered past Krul.
But in fairness to Norwich they did rouse a response in the closing seconds but De Gea produced a wonder stop to keep out Ozan Kabak.
