Burnley have taken a massive step towards sealing Premier League safety as they cruised to a 4-0 win at Wolves.
Clarets star Chris Wood was the in deadly form in the West Midlands as his first half hat trick powered Sean Dyche’s side to all three points.
It was all one-way traffic early on as Wood twisted and turned his way past Conor Coady before smashing one past Rui Patricio.
And that fast start set the tone as Wood doubled his advantage just after as Dwight McNeil forced an error from Adama Traore to slip in the New Zealander for the easiest of tap ins.
And with Wolves flapping before the break, Wood completed a first half treble as he got up highest to power home McNeil’s corner.
Nuno Santo’s side again failed to make an impact after the break as Burnley pushed on and on for more goals.
With home side handed out chances on a plate later on substitute Jay Rodriguez bullied an error from
Roman Saiss, on to Wood on the edge of the box, and onto Ashley Westwood to smash home a superb fourth.
