Would he really swop Burnley for Rome?

Chris Wood is the subject of interest from Italian club Lazio.

The 28-year-old has offered himself to the Serie A outfit, who are on the lookout for a new striker ahead of their Champions League adventure next season.

And Lazio boss Simeone Inzaghi has also expressed his desire to bring the New Zealand international to the Stadio Olimpico.

The New Zealander got a career-best tally of 14 league goals this last season helping Burnley to finish tenth in the Premier League.

He’s under contract at Turf Moor until the summer of 2023, so if it does happen, he would probably break Burnley’s transfer record.
