Chelsea have reportedly reached out to Brighton over a £40m bid for club captain Lewis Dunk.

Frank Lampard is in the market for new defenders this summer, having already been linked with West Ham’s Declan Rice and Manchester City star John Stones.

However, with the Hammers demanding around £60m for Rice, reports from the Metro claim Lampard has turned his attention to the cheaper alternative of Dunk.

Brighton will be determined to hold onto their star man, who is under contract until 2023.

But if Chelsea offer double their current valuation of the 28-year old, Graham Potter could have big decision to make.
