Chelsea have bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League as they picked up a dominant 4–1 win at Crystal Palace.
The result lifts the Blues back up inside the Top Four as Thomas Tuchel looks to clinch another season of Champions League football at Stamford Bridge.
It was German star Kai Havertz got the ball rolling after just eight minutes as he jinked inside and curl one past Vicente Guaita.
And with Palace still reeling, US international Christian Pulisic made it 2-0 just 90 seconds later as he smashed home Havertz’s pass.
The Blues kept on pushing to get the game wrapped up before the break with Guaita producing a fine stop to keep out Havertz.
Tuchel’s visitors did finally get a third on the half hour mark as Kurt Zouma powered home Mason Mount’s free kick.
Palace did make a fight of it after the break as Chelsea took their foot off the gas with Belgian star Christian Benteke nodding home a deserved consolation on the hour.
But there was to be no chance of a late comeback in South London as a swaggering Chelsea made it four late on with Pulisic striding onto Reece James’ ball to smash home his second of the day.
