Chelsea eased into the FA Cup Fourth Round with a dominant 4-0 win over League Two side Morecambe.
The Blues never really needed to get out of second gear as Frank Lampard’s side flexed their goal scoring muscles.
Chelsea were on front foot from the word go here as Mason Mount fired home a superb opener.
Lampard’s hosts then laid siege to the Morecambe goal before the break before Timo Werner tapped home a second.
And there was no let up after the restart as Callum Hudson-Odoi’s solo goal made the game safe on 48 minutes.
Morecambe keeper Mark Halstead worked overtime from there to keep the score respectable before Kai Havertz’s late header wrapped it up for Lampard.
