Maguire bags another international goal
Club skipper Harry Maguire scored his second goal for England in as many games as the three Lions helped themselves to ten against lowly San Marino.
His celebrations were a little more muted than against Albania, for which he had received a lot of criticism, including from Manchester United legend Roy Keane.
Maguire was the only United player on show in San Marino as he lined up in a team that was very different from that which we’ve seen throughout qualification.
However, the big defender proved once again what a goal threat he can be opening the scoring as the three lines went on to equal their biggest ever win, which was against the USA in 1964.
The result means England go through to the World Cup finals as group winners, which could bring them a more favourable draw for Qatar 2022.
