Burnley’s Premier League trip to Fulham has been postponed due to a rise in positive Covid-19 cases at the London club.

The decision to call off the fixture comes following a joint decision between the two clubs and the Premier League.

The cancellation is the second successive Fulham game called off due to positive tests after their trip to Tottenham last month was cancelled after an internal outbreak.

Three individuals connected with the club tested positive ahead of that game but no details on the numbers have been provided on this latest cancellation.

And this news comes on the back of a controversial few days involving Premier League footballers and Covid-19 rule breaks.

Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Manchester City have confirmed ongoing club investigations into claims members of their squads broke the rules over Christmas.
