Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick is catching the eye of top Italian clubs.

Reports from calciomercato.com claim AS Roma and AC Milan are keen on luring the Irish international to Serie A.

The midfielder’s low wage demands are said to be a particular selling point.

Hendrick is out of contract at Burnley this summer and will be available to leave on a free transfer when the window opens.

The 28-year-old was a club record signing upon his arrival from Derby County, costing the Clarets £10.5m in 2016.

Sean Dyche is said to be disappointed that the top brass at Turf Moor have not offered Hendrick a new deal.

It’s expected to be a difficult transfer window for Burnley, with several senior players out of contract and strong speculation over the future of star winger Dwight McNeil.
