Burnley look set to completed their first move of the summer after having a £12m offer accepted for Stoke City’s Nathan Collins.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche has been targeting the Republic of Ireland U21 international since the start of 2021 and he now looks to have finally got his man.

Dyche is resigned to losing Ben Gibson before the end of the month as the former Middlesbrough star pushes for a permanent move back to Norwich City.

And with current defensive lynchpin James Tarkowski likely to be the subject of another bid this summer, Dyche is well aware that he could be short of numbers at the back.

Collins would come into Turf Moor as one of the highest rated young defenders in Championship and the 20-year-old is tipped to make a major impact in the Premier League.
