Burnley’s low key summer spending has brought another new face to Turf Moor in the last 24 hours with Wayne Hennessey agreeing a free transfer.
Hennessey was one of 12 players released by Crystal Palace last month with the Welshman’s contract reaching its end in South London.
However, as never one to overlook an experienced head, Sean Dyche has swooped to sign the 34-year-old on a two-year contract.
Hennessey is Dyche’s second signing of the summer after clinching a £12m deal for Irish international Nathan Collins last month.
But his arrival is unlikely to be Dyche’s last month of the close season with Maxwell Cornet and Marc Albrighton also popping up on the Clarets radar.
