AFC Bournemouth will have David Brooks fit and available again in time for the Premier League restart.

Top flight action has been put on hold since March 13 due to coronavirus and is set to resume on June 17.

The suspension of the season has allowed more time for Brooks to recover from an ankle injury which has kept him from playing a single minute of Premier League action this season.

The promising Welshman had to have surgery on the injury picked up in a pre-season friendly with Brentford last July.

Now Cherries skipper Simon Francis has revealed the 22-year-old is ‘fully fit’ ahead of Bournemouth’s battle to remain a Premier League side.

Eddie Howe’s men will return to action sitting 18th place in the Premier League table, a point from safety.
