Brighton forward Florin Andone may not play football again in 2020.
Those are the fears emanating from Turkey, where the striker is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
It’s not the first time Andone has been sidelined this season – the Romanian international picked up a knee injury in November and didn’t return to action until February.
It is a knee injury which is feared on this occasion too, with Turkish outlet Fotospor claiming the Brighton man won’t play again until 2021.
Andone has played just 8 Super Lig games for Galatasaray since arriving in Istanbul last summer, scoring twice.
The 27-year-old, who netted in Brighton’s opening day victory over Watford in the Premier League, is now expected to return to the Seagulls when his loan deal expires.
He’s contracted at the Amex Stadium until 2023.
