Brighton have continued their winning start to the season this weekend as Graham Potter’s side cruised to a 2-0 win over Watford.
The Seagulls were forced to wait until the final stages to win at Burnley last time out but their firepower at AMEX was too much for the promoted Hornets.
And the home side looked up for this right from the go on the on the South Coast as Shane Duffy peeled off his man to bullet home Pascal Gross’ corner.
But with Watford shell shocked from that setback before the break, Brighton took full advantage on 40 minutes.
Yves Bissouma pounced on some dreadful passing by the visitors and Neal Maupay calmly strode on to fire past Daniel Bachmann.
Despite the tie being effectively over by the hour mark, Watford did show some fight late on as Tom Cleverley tested Robert Sanchez.
But despite the potential for a late rally, in the end it was all pretty straightforward for Potter.
Full Time from the AMEX Stadium it’s Brighton 2 Watford 0
