Brighton and Hove Albion are close to adding a new striker to their ranks as the transfer deadline approaches.

Premier League clubs have until 5pm on Monday, October 5th to complete their summer business, and Albion look set to bring a new frontman to the Amex Stadium.

21-year-old Swiss striker Andi Zeqiri is on course to join the Seagulls having reportedly completed a medical earlier this week.

Following the departure of veteran forward Glenn Murray to Watford, Graham Potter has been searching for an extra attacking player to take his place.

Brighton feel they have found it in the FC Lausanne-Sport player, who fired 22 goals in all competitions to help his side to promotion to the Swiss Super League – the top flight of professional football in the country.

Zeqiri’s addition will bring the total number of Seagulls strikers to four, with Neal Maupay, Aaron Connolly and Viktor Gyokeres being the other three.
