Brentford’s Premier League party stretches on into a third month this weekend as Thomas Frank’s side snatched a 2-1 win at West Ham.

West Ham looked off the pace, following their on from their midweek European adventure, and despite looking set to hold on for a point in added time, David Moyes’ side eventually came unstuck against Brentford.

And with West Ham struggling for intensity from the start, it was Brentford who called the tune, as Bryan Mbuemo fired against the bar, and Lukasz Fabianksi brilliantly kept out Ivan Toney.

But with the wind blowing for Brentford in the opening half hour, Frank’s side did eventually edge in front.

Toney’s reverse ball released Sergi Canos in behind, but despite Fabianski denying the Spaniard, Mbuemo
reacted smartly to scuff home the rebound.

However, despite neither side really setting any tempo after the break, but it was the Hammers who grabbed their big chance to equalise.

Aaron Cresswell’s corner was kept alive by Tomas Soucek at the far post and Jarrod Bowen pounced to bullet past David Raja.

But despite looking set to cling on for a point, Brentford provided another sting in the tail as substitute Yoann Wissa popped for up for the second week running to crash one past Fabianski.

Full Time from the London Stadium it’s West Ham 1-2 Brentford
