Brentford avoided a FA Cup slip in the Third Round as they eased on to a 4-1 win at League Two side Port Vale.

Brentford were much changed for this clash but their Premier League class proved the difference either side of the break against Port Vale.

Mads Bidstrup’s driving run cut through the Vale backline and his lay off was bulleted home by Marcus Forss.

However, Thomas Frank’s decision to bring on Bryan Mbuemo tipped it for them in the in final 30.

His close-range finish doubled their lead before Kian Harratt scrapped Vale back into it.

But, any chance of a upset was killed off by Mbuemo as swerved them back in front and grabbed a hat trick with a stoppage time spot kick.

Full Time from Vale Park it’s Port Vale 1 Brentford 4
