Brentford have extended their unbeaten start to Premier League life with as Thomas Frank’s side picked up a 2-0 win at struggling Wolves.

Brentford have impressed in recent weeks and first half goals from Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo secured another vital three points in their away victory against Wolves.

But despite the end result, both sides did struggle for consistency early on with Wolves star Adama Traore lashing a brilliant chance just over the top.

And with neither team able to find a breakthrough from open play the Bees were handed an ideal chance to edge in front.

Fernando Marcal’s aggressive challenge hauled down Toney inside the box and the visitors star man stayed calm to slot past Jose Sa from the spot.

That opening burst the game into life before the break with a key turning point at both ends before the half hour.

Traore continued to pose the major threat on the break for Wolves, as the Spaniard rocketed one off the bar, before Mbeumo immediately punished them with a tidy finish from Toney’s flick.

Brentford did make things harder for themselves after the break as midfield star Shandon Baptiste was dismissed for a second booking.

But in truth, Wolves were unable to generate any real response as Kristoffer Ayer blocked off Raul Jimenez.

Full Time from Molineux it’s Wolves 0-2 Brentford
