Bournemouth’s bid for survival has been dealt a fresh blow as striker Josh King will miss at least a game through injury.
The Norwegian has been a key cog in the Cherries machine in recent seasons, having scored 46 Premier League goals since his arrival at the Vitality Stadium from Blackburn Rovers 5 years ago.
Now though it’s expected Eddie Howe will be without the forward after the 28-year-old picked up a knock in Friday’s damaging 0-2 defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Cherries face an in-form Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, heading in to the game occupying one of the Premier League’s 3 relegation places.
Losing King will blight Bournemouth’s chances of a vital 3 points against Wolves, but may open the door for Dutch winger Arnaut Danjuma to secure a second consecutive start.
Danjuma hasn’t seen as much action as hoped for this season, but with the Cherries’ 5-year stint in the top flight under serious threat, there is no better time than now to show what he is capable of.
