A dislocated knee has kept Bournemouth’s Charlie Daniels out of action for close to a year.

The injury suffered in August against Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium was the defender’s second serious knee injury in a three-month period – the other a dislocated patella on his other leg.

Now the 33-year-old is back training outside with the first team, 9 months after an operation to correct the out of place kneecap.

Daniels is expected to put pen to paper on a new short-term Cherries deal through to the end of the restarted 2019-20 season.
