Bournemouth have released club captain Simon Francis on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at the Vitality Stadium.
Francis has made of 300 appearances for the Cherries, and he is one of the few remaining players that was at the club in their League One days.
Experienced midfielder Andrew Surman is also on his way out, after over 200 games, as part of huge cost cutting measure from new boss Jason Tindall.
The club thanked them for their service, but their departures are set to be just the start in the coming weeks, with Charlie Daniels also set to move on.
