Out-of-favour Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is not of interest to Sheffield United.
That’s according to well respected journalist Alan Biggs, who claims any suggestions of a loan swoop for the Argentina international are ‘categorically untrue.’
With Jack O’Connell out injured, it is no surprise that Blades boss Chris Wilder will be keeping tabs on potential reinforcements at the back, with newspaper The Sun claiming Sheffield United had looked at the Manchester United man as an option.
However, although Biggs concedes Wilder is looking at possible targets, Rojo isn’t one of them.
Wilder opted to use Enda Stevens in a centre half role against Liverpool, something the Irish wing-back isn’t too familiar with.
No doubt someone to fill the O’Connell shaped void at the back is required, but someone on Rojo’s sizeable wages is out of the question.
