Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could find himself back in a managerial hot seat in the coming weeks with the Frenchman linked to the vacant Switzerland job.

Wenger’s iconic time in North London came to an emotional end in 2018 as he stepped away after 22 years at the club.

Following a brief break he took up a role with FIFA in 2019 but he has constantly hinted at wanting one more crack on the touchline.

And his chance may be in the pipeline sooner than expected with reports from the Daily Mail claiming the Swiss have lined him up to replace Vladimir Petkovic.

Wenger is set to be handed a two year contract to work beyond the World Cup in 2022 with La Professeur set to make a decision next week.
