Arsenal star Emile Smith-Rowe has revealed he’s on Cloud 9 after being drafted into Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Smith-Rowe received the call to join up with the Three Lions following an injury withdrawal from Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

However, despite his eye-catching form for the Gunners this season, Smith-Rowe could be set for his first senior appearance in the coming days.

Smith-Rowe told an interview with BBC Sport the first person he told about the news was his Arsenal mad mum after speaking to Southgate.

And, Smith-Rowe, who has represented England at every youth level has also revealed the lengths he has gone to ensure his career remains on track this season.

The club have employed a personal chef for the 21-year-old and told the flying winger to throw the chocolate in the bin.
