Arsenal skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been ruled out of their Carabao Cup clash with Manchester City after failing to recover from a calf problem.

The Gabonese international missed the weekend trip to Everton in Premier League action and boss Mikel Arteta will not risk him against City.

The Spanish boss is expected to rotate his team as he did in previous rounds with a host of squad faces in line to face Pep Guardiola’s visitiors.

Back up keeper Runar Runarsson should replace Bernd Leno between the sticks with fellow forgotten men Cedric Soares, Saed Kolasinac and Gabriel Martinelli all set to come into the starting line up.
