Shkodran Mustafi’s Arsenal exit is a ‘done deal’ claims former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell.
Mustafi, who has been at the Emirates Stadium since 2016, has made over 100 Premier League appearances for Arsenal.
However, in recent seasons he has fallen out of favour with the fans due to some suspect performances – and it appears he has fallen out of favour with manager Mikel Arteta too, with the Gunners boss opting not to start the 28-year-old against Manchester United at the weekend.
Reports claim the Germany international rejected offers of a new contract at the club and is likely to leave Arsenal next summer when his current deal expires.
It’s alleged the defender has informed Arsenal he wants to leave the club at the end of the season, and former Gunners forward Kevin Campbell admits he sees no future in North London for Mustafi.
Speaking to Football Insider about a possible Mustafi exit, Campbell said:
““That is a done deal. I think it is a done deal from both sides.
“Mustafi has taken a lot of stick in the past.
“It is difficult for players to take but we know what fans are like.
“Mustafi has had a good run at Arsenal but it is definitely coming to an end.”
