Arsenal have missed out on a vital chance to break back in the Premier League Top Four this weekend as they slipped to a 0-0 draw with Burnley.
Arsenal now trail Champions League spots by two points as Mikel Arteta’s side wrapped up a frustrating week following a draw against Burnley.
The home side did look to carry the threat from the off in the capital with captain Alexandre Lacazette blasting wide and Martin Odegaard brilliantly kept out by Nick Pope.
However, the pattern of missed chances continued for Arteta in the second 45 as Pope’s reflexes superbly denied Emile Smith-Rowe.
And as the clock ticked down there was still one more burst from Arsenal as Smith-Rowe drove in behind the Burnley back line but his cut back was poked wide by Lacazette.
Full Time from The Emirates Stadium it’s Arsenal 0 Burnley 0
