Arsenal’s improving Premier League form has continued in Friday night action as the Gunners cruised to a 3-1 win over Aston Villa.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side now find themselves within striking distance of the European spots as they made five Premier League games unbeaten in North London following their victory against Aston Villa.

The home side dominated from the go in this one as Thomas Partey flicked against the crossbar before the Ghanaian eventually powered home Emile Smith-Rowe’s corner.

That gave the initiative to Arsenal before the break as skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it 2-0 in stoppage time after former Gunners keeper Emi Martinez kept out his spot kick.

And with Villa unable to stem the Gunners tide after the restart the eye-catching Smith-Rowe fired home a third before the hour.

Villa did snatch a consolation late on, as Jacob Ramsey lashed home a fantastic strike from the edge of the box, but in the end, it was three goals and three points to the Arsenal.

Full Time from the Emirates Stadium it’s Arsenal 3 Aston Villa 1
