Arsenal have confirmed they are pulling out of a preseason tour of the United States following a Covid-19 outbreak in the Gunners ranks.

A club statement has confirmed a small number of positive tests within their travelling party ahead of their expected exit this weekend.

But despite receiving the green light to make the trip across the Atlantic, Arsenal are playing this one with real caution, with friendlies against Inter Milan, Everton and Colombian side Millionarios now cancelled.

Mikel Arteta will now rejig his preseason plans in the coming days with a set of domestic warm up games ahead of that all-important Premier League kick off against Brentford on August 13.
