Liverpool’s Top Four challenge remains on track this weekend amid ridiculous scenes in a last gasp 2-1 win at relegated West Brom.

The league picture now looks to be bouncing in Jurgen Klopp’s direction as the Champions League is set to go right to the final day.

Liverpool had plenty of the ball early on but it was to be the hungry Baggies that edged ahead with a goal straight from the Sam Allardyce playbook.

One long ball from the back was touched on by Matheus Pereira and Hal Robson-Kanu grabbed his chance to fire past Alisson.

But the Reds did well to shake off that setback as Sadio Mane lashed one just wide before Mo Salah fired in a deserved equaliser.

Mane pounced on some slack Baggies defending and quick as a flash he slipped in the Egyptian to smash home.

And Klopp’s men took control after the break as the hosts looked to bed in for scrappy point.

But despite dominating possession, Liverpool struggled to carve out chances with Sam Johnstone alert to keep out Salah.

However, desperate times call for desperate measures and Klopp screamed at Alisson to get himself up there for the corner.

And despite the array of attacking stars in the box for Liverpool it was the giant Brazilian who got up there to bullet home the winner.

Full Time from The Hawthorns it’s West Brom 1 Liverpool 2
