Walker-Peters out and Hojbjerg in

It’s not a swop deal, but two separate deals, confirmed at the same time on the same day, with the same club.

defensive midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has become our first summer signing, joining on a five-year deal for a fee, thought to be an initial £20million plus add-ons.

Going the other way or rather staying there after being on loan since January, is right back Kyle Walker-Peters for 12 million in a separate deal. Why they don’t just call it a swop deal plus cash is beyond me.

Hojbjerg has been intent on joining Spurs for a while, liking several social media posts linking him with the club.
Walker-Peters has penned a five-year contract on the south coast, ending a lengthy stay with Spurs, who he joined as a youngster.

Elsewhere today we wish Feliz Aniversario to Lucas Moura who turns 28 today. We’ll bring you more transfer and no doubt birthday cake news as it happens.
